Teaching Roman Numerals / Lesson Plans

1. Find information about Roman numerals on the Internet.
2. Print a copy of our guide to Roman numerals.
3. Print  abcteach.com  resource sheets and games for teachers.
4. Translate Roman/Arabic.
5. Check answers using the converter individually, in pairs or a group.
6. Write numerals on the board and ask pupils which comes next.
7. Ask pupils to name objects or places where they have seen or used Roman numerals.
8. Ask pupils to write the Roman numeral or Arabic equivalent to that given.
9. Count 1-10, 1-50 using Roman numeral letters as numbers
10. Us Microsoft Word software on your computer to create lists/charts of numbers and write the equivalent to the right, e.g.
    1. = 1 One
    2. = 2 Two
    3. = 3 Three
    4. = 4 Four
    5. = 5 Five
    6. = 6 Six
    7. = 7 Seven
